Pascal Bettex becomes the first kinetic artist to develop non-circular gears. Since 2016, squares have been turning clovers, ovals intertwine and engage with each other.
Gears replicating the outlines of Switzerland, France, or representing logos drive larger gears in equally astonishing and limitless shapes.
These unique pieces are laser-cut from 4 to 5 mm stainless steel to ensure lasting durability.

The first mobile sculpture featuring specially designed gears: "Impossible Modern Times" in tribute to the Charlie Chaplin film where Charlot goes mad from endlessly screwing the same bolts. This mobile can be seen at the charming guesthouse "7th Art" in Corsier-sur-Vevey, where each room is delicately decorated in connection with one of Chaplin's great films.
